IdleSportsman’s and Nomadic deckhands Guide-for-Hire Service is built for boat owners who want a top-tier fishing experience without the hassle of scouting, rigging, or hauling gear. Whether you're short on time, equipment, or local knowledge, we’ll help you fish smarter and enjoy more time on the water. We offer three flexible, full-day packages tailored to your needs: BASIC – $225/day You provide the gear—we provide the expertise. Ideal for boaters who have rods and tackle but want help locating fish, refining techniques, or running the boat during the trip. Your guide comes aboard and provides spot recommendations, tactical coaching, and on-the-water support. ✔ You supply all gear ✔ We assist with fishing locations, techniques, and safety ✔ Up to 2 anglers (add $50 per extra angler, max 4) STANDARD – $400/day We bring the gear—you bring the boat. This package includes high-quality rods, reels, tackle, and bait matched to your target species. We’ll help with casting, rigging, and even fillet your catch at the end of the day. ✔ All fishing gear provided ✔ On-the-water instruction and support ✔ Catch cleaned and bagged post-trip ✔ Up to 2 anglers (add $50 per extra angler, max 4) PREMIUM – $550/day Everything handled from start to finish. Our top-tier experience includes early arrival to prep your boat, gear setup, VHF radios, life jackets, and permit assistance. Your guide will fillet your fish, clean the boat, and make sure you're ready for a safe and successful day. ✔ All gear + safety equipment (PFDs, VHF radios) ✔ Permit support for required fishing licenses ✔ Post-trip fish cleaning and full boat washdown ✔ Ideal for families, new boaters, tournament fishing, or high-demand anglers Need-to-Know Trips are 8 hours, starting at agreed launch time Travel surcharges may apply for locations over 20 miles from base Late cancellations (under 24 hours) incur a $50 inconvenience fee Boat must be registered, fueled, and in safe condition Let us help you turn your boat into a true fishing machine—your day, your boat, our expertise. Cancellation Policy
IdleSportsman Guide-for-Hire Service Policy & Liability Waiver By booking a guide-for-hire trip with IdleSportsman Outfitters, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Assumption of Risk Fishing and boating activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: weather changes, equipment failure, water hazards, personal injury, or property damage. By participating in this service, the client accepts full responsibility for all risks involved and releases IdleSportsman Outfitters and its employees, contractors, or agents from any liability for injury, loss, or damages. 2. Client Responsibilities Client must provide a safe, seaworthy, and legally registered boat. The boat must be fueled, equipped with basic safety equipment (fire extinguisher, throwable device, functioning bilge pump, etc.), and comply with state and federal laws. The client is responsible for following all state and federal fishing and boating regulations. Life jackets are to be worn at all times by minors and at the discretion of the guide for safety reasons. The client must disclose any known mechanical or operational issues with the vessel before departure. 3. Cancellation & Inconvenience Policy Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled trip will incur a $50 inconvenience fee. Trips canceled due to unsafe conditions (weather, equipment failure, etc.) may be rescheduled at no cost. No-shows or unprepared boats may result in full charge for the scheduled service. 4. Damage to Equipment In the event that provided gear (rods, reels, electronics, etc.) is lost, stolen, or damaged due to negligence or misuse, the client may be held financially responsible for replacement costs. 5. Limited Liability IdleSportsman Outfitters assumes no responsibility for: Personal injury due to client’s negligence, unsafe operation of the vessel, or failure to follow instructions Lost, stolen, or damaged personal property Legal issues arising from fishing or boating violations outside of the guide’s control 6. Hold Harmless Agreement By using this service, the client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless IdleSportsman Outfitters and its agents against all claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct. 7. Photography Release (Optional) Photos or videos taken during the trip may be used for promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
